I’ve got Hope Tech 3 E4s on my bike, the hose on the rear calliper has been brushing against the spokes when the suspension compresses.

I loosened the banjo bolt to move the hose slightly, but now a bit worried that some fluid has escaped and I might die on the next ride.

Didn’t touch the lever at all and only loosened the bolt slightly!

Do I need to carry out a re-bleed?

not the thread I feared it might be.

But you opened it anyway 🙂

If some fluid leaked out a bleed would be a good idea but you will probably only get a slightly mushy brake if you have a tiny bit of air. Being the rear I’d probably be too lazy to bother until it caused me grief, if it ever did

If you muck about with it too much you’re bound to get some fluid loss.

I try and do one thing every day that scares me.

I too opened this and read to the end, was actually looking for how to mend a chin-strap
