looking at buying one off here. Anyone had/have one of these and can give me a fairly unbiased report on the ride as i live miles away form the seller.

Yep, had mine for almost 2 years now. I’ve put a review on mtbreview.com – have a look. Still stand by what I said back then. Built up with Fox / XTR / Hope / Thomson / Easton / Magura type stuff weighs in at about 25-26lbs. Not had any problems with the bike at all, but I’m not heavy on kit. Lovely bike for someone looking for a bit more comfort but not wanting to lose the lightweight feel of a xc bike.

You might get better customer support now that Palligap distribute them in UK. Never did get sent a set of traditional Merlin white decals as promised by Chris Hewings (the ABG man in UK).

Would I buy another? Yes but not at today’s prices, but I picked mine up for a bargain price so I’m glad I bought when I did.
