Final round of this years world cup.

I am planning a trip down to this event with the family, and hopefully a riding buddy or 2, this year. I have never been to a world cup before and I want to see the spectacle in the flesh so to speak.

Anyone else planning on going?

I will hope to be there for the race and looking at staying for the week following to ride some trails (not the world cup course though, I am no downhill racer).

Taking the camper so no accommodation required other than a field / campsite or carpark nearby.

Can anyone offer advice regards getting a pitch near these events or whether the trails will be open at all in the week after?

I know is the first Meribel so no one will have any experience of this particular event but maybe someone’s visited the bike park and can offer any words warning or encouragement.
