I don’t think so, I’ve not ridden one in anger off road but I get the impression they are very capable, especially with a 80mm fork.

Mega race course isn’t actually that difficult. Problems occur when you try and go off line to overtake. The main line itself isn’t that technical. The qualifier is more technical and more enjoyable IMO.
