Anyone know how to measure travel on Fox forks? This image suggests that full travel would push the o ring to the very top of the stanchions:

However, measuring the stanchions on both a set of Fox 34’s and 36’s they don’t seem to agree to that diagram – ‘full travel’ seems to be to above the top of the Kashima logo. Full exposed stanchions on a 140mm 34 is 150mm and on a 36 supposedly set to 140mm is 156mm.

I thought I read somewhere that 160 36’s only have 157mm of travel? I know mine have never gone over the Kashima writing..

yeh my mate in suspension business has told me before the travel stops at the kashima writing (I’m pretty sure he did unless ive just made that up!)

Pretty sure likewise but that probably means I actually need to add another token as I’m bottoming them out when I’d assumed I still had travel left.

(you’d kind of hope Fox would get something as basic as this right in their manuals)
