    Ta will do. I had one ride on a Larsen exception and the sidewalls were shredding (inner tube was balooning out the side of the sidewall 😯

    Those exception tyres are awful. Stupid light but stupidly fragile too.

    Slashed a few rides old Crossmark on the Skyline descent on a not very rocky section. Lesson learnt!

    Sidewalls looked thread bare after the first ride!!!!

    I've had this on an Advantage and now am suffering it on a fairly new Crossmark – you can see all the threads through the rubber. Is this a fairly common fault with Maxxis tyres?

    redx, I'd say on a Maxxis you could class that definitely as a manufacturers defect. Return for refund.

    If its CRC and you've only ran them a few rides when it happened I wouldnt accept a stepped-discount/refund either. Just return them direct to MMA.
