Been wanting to order a Maxxis shorty (Specifically the 27.5 x 2.5wt Maxterra) for a few weeks but most places seem to be out of stock – does anyone know the reasons behind this (e.g. are they holding off until the new year or is it just waiting on a shipment?) or when they expect to be back in?

No rush, but will save me checking the internet every day!

Lots of their tyres seem to spend a lot of time out of stock.

Yeah it’s a right pain I see next day tyres have the maxterra double down one in but it’s a tad lards weight wise lol.

Some of th spec choices seem odd as well. There’s a wide trail double down shorty but not a wide trail double down dhr2.

There is supposed to be a wide trail double down aggressor coming but I’ve still not seen any sign of that.

I have a 27.5×2.5 WT here if you need one. Brand new.

Guess they may just be waiting for a container to turn up as I think Minion 3c’s were all on back order as well
