Intrigued to try the maxxis high roller 2’s as a front and rear of 2.3 width flavour – anyone run the 3C for both or does it make more sense to just go with the 60a rear?

I’ve got a 3C Minion Front, HR2 60a rear and they work very nicely together. Plenty of traction on the back and should last a bit longer too..don’t think it’s really worth the extra for the 3C on the back unless you’re really pushing them

Ta, I assume you mean a 2.5 minion? does it match up sizewise to a 2.3 HR2?

Yeah, 2.5″ Minion. The Minion comes up about 2.35″ and the HR about 2.25″ on my Flows. Really pleased with the combination. Mine’s the TR HR too and went tubeless easier than any other tyre I’ve done.

freeridenick – that is the tyre i’ve been waiting for! cheers! although 50 quid is a bit steep for the 3c. hopefully it’ll be available cheaper soon..
