Did this fantastic event at Coed y Brenin today. Basically three times round the Tarw trail, partly backwards. I was surprised at only 100 riders taking part when some of the marathons get 800 – it was a really well-run event, super-friendly WI-type ladies on the admin, super-helpful and encouraging marshals, real family feel. All abilities in race. Top weather. And all for charidy – to buy three-wheeled mountain bikes for disabled people. I failed to finish due to multiple punctures (see other thread) but still loved every minute of the actual riding.

I urge you to put it in your diaries for next year!!

I’ve done it twice before…both times the organisation was shocking.Nice to see they’ve got it right at last.

I did it the first year it ran. It is a good event, but sadly I am far too unfit to do 3 laps of the Welsh hills…
