Am looking at going larger than the LUST 2.35 High Rollers I am currently running on my 819s. The 2.35 seem quite stable but can I go any bigger without running higher risk of burping etc? How do the ‘new’ sizes compare, too big for the rim?

2.3 from memory but my 2.35 Nevegals work fine

A 2.25″ Crossmark or advantage would be ok (bigger than 2.35 HR anyway), but I wouldn’t want to run anything wider on a rim that is only 24mm wide.

I run 2.35s on mine and don’t have any problems. I wouldn’t want to go much larger though.

Have run 2.5s, not a problem. Not ideal though – makes the tread a bit too rounded

    I ran 2.3s on 717s.
2.35s on 719s will be fine. Esp LUST ones.

I run a 2.25 Ardent (bigger than a 2.35 Minion) on a 719. Never had a problem with burping but can feel it squirming around occasionally. I wouldn’t go any wider.

I’ve run Dual Ply 2.5 High Rollers tubeless on mine no problem – HRs aren’t that wide for the given size though.

    2.5 diesel.

Only issues with width are when running low pressures.

Tyre profile does not matter either-think about it.

    Mavic say 2.3 max.

I used to run 2.5 Diesels on mine too – loved em! I don’t think they would take anything bigger though.

I tend to stick to the 2.2 – 2.35 range now though.

235 Bonty XR4’s on mien, very big volume. Tried 2.5 WTB somethings, they went on fine no actual issues but they just felt wrong, like they were too round which I GUESS is the rollox debated by magazines about tyre profile.

I tried 2.2 Bonty XR4s but they were bulbous, much prefer the feel and profile of 2.35 High Rollers but wondered if the slightly larger Ardents would be too big. Seemingly not from what others are running…

When you say ‘slightly larger Ardents’, do you mean 2.25’s or 2.4’s as both are bigger than a 2.35 HR ?

2.4 rubber queen and 2.5 maxxis are fine on em.
