    C = (x/y) – (z/w)

    A + B = C

    A = x/w

    B = ??

    B = C – A

    B = [(x/y)-(z/w)] – x/w

    It’s Maths, short for mathematics. We are not in the USA.

    That’s wrong Harry… if you multiply out by w you need to do it on both sides of the equation…

    B = x/y – (x+z)/w

    But is there something more to this as it’s an easy bit of algebra…

    Yep I agree. It’s not help with maths you need, just your spelling.

    Tssk.

    Basically I am doing a variance analysis with 3 variables
    Moves
    Fixed Costs
    Variable Costs

    and I need to ‘bridge’ the cost per move kpi

    here is the spreadsheet and I need to ‘prove’ the delta at the bottom with just saying its what is left over
