Any folks/clubs out there who have used any type of phone apps for gps enduro style racing with their mate , not strava

If you’re prepared to accept gps anomalies then this is good

However it does use strava and I’m not sure it’ll work with private segments so if the race is on very cheeky trails it might be a problem.

Most of the public gps apps will have the same issues though

Most accurate will be starting people a minute apart and having someone with a stop watch at the bottom.

We use the matesrace website, and just accept that it’ll be what it is.

Done one with Strava, you can make the segment, upload and delete it after the results are in.
Accuracy doesn’t matter as it’s a mates race.
