    So I put on a newish tyre (hardly used new) I've had in the stored in the garage for about 2 years (just hung) and it's now got a massive flat spot in it. It moves about half and inch away from the seat tube in 1 spot.

    Pump it up to massive PSI and no change

    Why? how?

    I know I'm going to have to bin it just can't understand it

    ride it for a bit and warm the rubber it up – it'll probably sort itself out.

    Have you tried a different tube? And checked the rim?

    soapy water on installation to get it to sit right.
