Can anyone please tell me how to get to the air valves that are according to the manual for marzzochi 2006 all mountain 3 forks under the red anodised hexagonal covers at the top of the stanchions. I foolishly unscrewed the hex bits to check the oil and now am unable to pressurise the forks.

The red covers should only be finger tight (they screw directly onto the schraeder valves).

Ah, that makes sense, they’ve obviously been overtightened and thats why the whole unit unscrewed. Thank you very much mamadirt.

Blimey, they must’ve been on tight. Glad it’s sorted anyway – the AM3s are nice forks – had a pair on my old Heckler.
