I have some 2010 Marzocchi 888 evos on my dh bike. I was looking at getting a new flat top crown for them but they seem pretty hard to find (there is one on the CRC website for £60).

Does anyone know if, for example, a boxxer top crown will fit? This is assuming the stanchions are the same diameter.

Or even better does anyone have a spare lying around…?

It seems that I was wrong about the 888 stanchion dia. they are 38mm and most other manufactures are either 35 or 40mm. Not to worry.

I dont think crowns for the 38mm 888 were as prolific as the original 35mm 888’s sadly. I wanted a new lower crown/steerer and couldnt find anything, cheaper to get a whole fork off ebay!

Yeah, I think I will just live with it!

the CRC upper is 35mm, I was assuming that the stanchions weer 35mm too. Good job I checked!!
