  • Marzocchi 66 RC3V forks – Are they any good?

I’m looking to replace my Shermans at some point and noticed a few pairs of these on ebay recently. Are they any good?
I remember Marzocchi having a few issues in the past with some of their forks and cannot recall if these were plagued by unreliability issues.

If anyone has used them and can let me know what they think, good or bad, I would be very grateful.

I had some 06 66rc forks and they were the smoothest forks Ive ever had.

Problem is I think they were also the heaviest too at nearly 3kg!

Were they good and reliable? I’m not too concerned about the weight so long as tehy work well!

Mine were. I think it all depends on the year they were made. I *think* 2007 ones were ok but don’t touch 08/09 ones. and if you do make sure you get the most simple and least adjustable model.

All mine had was rebound and compression adjust and air preload no bells or whistles.

    Thanks very much for that.

The ATA ones were the ones which broke. The RC3 66s are good forks.

Totally unrelated, i have a set for sale (with 2.5 years unused warranty left) £230 posted

    (just got 2010 boxxers instead)
