Has any one done this loop recently? where is the best place to start?
Looking to start at Hebdon Bridge next Monday. All part of the keilder 100 training. To make it authentic though it has to be lashing down for a full 12hrs before hand and continue like it during the whole day. Fingers crossed

Anywhere on the loop you can park. We did start in HB which was fine for refreshments and bike shop stop. The day we did it , it was just as you described except it didn’t really start until we had committed ourselves. V.high suffer quotient!
