Just a quick heads up, on Thursday night a vehicle struck the railway bridge at Strines station, at the bottom of the descent from the Fox Inn

On the night, the policeman allowed us to pass underneath and said it would be open again the next morning, but we’ve been past today and it’s still shut

Doesn’t look like it’ll be a quick fix either

You can still do the fox descent, turning right before the bridge and climbing back up. To cross the railway you’ll have to go via Hague Bar or Green clough farm

From the Whitecroft Farm end it just looked like they’d put 2 orange barriers up which looked easily avoided. Is there something more in the way from the other side?

We came through from the canal – there were two groups of bikers in front of us who;d been turned back as they were working on it. Not sure what’s there in terms of security and whether you’d be able to get through while work was not happening

OMG ! How many pints did the driver drink ? He must have been on a pub crawl in a truck heading to the fox for last orders ! 😉
