    See some cheap

Anyone know if they can be lowered like the pros as 120 would be too much

    Cheers

Thought there was only pro or expert in the towers.

    These look like OEM
    Infos:

    Federweg:  120 mm
    Federung:  TS Air
Einstellmögl.:  Rebound /  Lockout extern / Federung per Luftdruck
    Gabelschaft:  Aluminium, Tapered – 188mm
    Gabelkrone:  Aluminium
Standrohre:  32 mm, Aluminium,  reibungsarm anodisiert
    Max. Scheibendurchmesser:  210 mm
    Laufradgröße: 29″
    Gewicht: 1950gr

Fair bit heavier than the expert or pro

And as these are tapered and I’d need to fit an external cup 120mm would mess with my bike too much, I’d prefer 80 or 100

Who are the uk importers for manitou

Manitou tower pro forks here. Cheap off CRC, when my fox were out of warranty and cost more to replace creaking CSU and service, than tower pro cost.

Very impressed with manitou, structurally much stiffer, better damper, much more controlled, worth the small weight penalty.

Yep, as good as rockshox, better than fox, not as good as old marzocchi. Just not fashionable.

Been very pleased with mine. Stiff, well damped and seem well built.

Are they still much plusher than others? Steel legged Manitou Six’s with the grease nipple [ooh-eer] had next to no stiction, they make my Pikes feel downright clumsy and clunky [even when the Pike’s didn’t have a shedload of dirt inside them].

[See, sometimes I do use this forum to talk about bikes! Next thing I’ll even go and ride one…..

Not sure if they are steel stanchions

Aaah, sadly they are 29″. Also, gold stanchions mean Ally – which is much lighter, but yeah, the old steel ones were smooooth.
