the U.K. wall plug is a design classic that is substantially safer than any other plug design on Earth.

We know electricity is scary stuff that needs a scary looking plug to handle it and can take the resulting foot pain of treading on one with typical stoicism.

The politeness of the drunken yoof in Magaluf, aya napa etc. I was especially proud of the girl who carried out 24 sex acts in front of eveyone in a nightclub. Classy.
Makes me so proud that our future is safe.

    fair enough iolo.

Not sure blame can be firmly laid at the door of British plug design, though?

there was a video doing the rounds of some girl being bullied by a huge crowd to do stuff. I didn’t see it but it sounds like it was all a bit ugly.

It’s not all that we have to be proud of. We have excellent gas fittings too.

she was either being bullied, or coerced.
And was filmed by the people who coerced her, then reneged an the “agreement”.
    They are scum, not her

    We invented the hovercraft, too.

I often watch the last remaining customer hovercraft service running from my house. 🙂

This made me chuckle too. Local MP on Twitter: A friend works for @HovertravelLtd and told insurance co. his job. Lady on phone didn’t believe hovercraft really existed…

I’ve had one of the MU folding plugs for a couple of years now, brilliant idea and very handy to throw in a bag but it’s only a 1A output so it would be good if they brought out a 2.4A version.

    The pneumatic tyre?

    Planetary gearing?
    Bowden cables?
    Standardisation of bicycles components?

    The slide in 1922?
I was in a salt mine here.
This mine is 7000 years old and the tour guide said the miners moved between mining layers via timber slides. In the tour we slid down two. Great fun they were too.

Haven’t seen anything better than our road signage, even if it is a bit ott in places. On a similar note the underground map is genius and has be copied the world over.
