Right I’ve ordered some magic shine lights 30864. I’ve ordered the CRC handle bar mount to try and improve the bar fitting.

This excellent link shows how to do it,

However will these do as grommets assuming I make a small hole through them?

Or is there anything better (preferably from screwfix)

    Thanks

What is wrong with the pull ring? Never had a problem with mine …

I find that the 0-ring supplied always slips round to the same position, with the beam hoorizontal. This takes quite a long descent to move, but move it always does.
Tried packing out the bars with tape and this helps a bit, but not too much.

not got round to fixing the problem yet.

I just put a few wraps of self amalgamating tape on the bar and mount the light over that – no slipping

The rubber ring snapped on mine its worth getting a thicker O ring or a different mount.

I just zip-tie mine to the bars for winter and cut it off in summer.
