Just received my Magicshine – 5 days shipping to UK.

After the obligatory dazzle myself, I don't know what to do with the battery.

Should it be charged first, discharged or something else?

Charge fully first, and get some extra waterproofing around it inside the little bag (sandwich bag or something) – the protection circuit seems a bit prone to breaking when damp (mine has gone and I have heard others going on the internet so it must be true ;-))

I have what I think is a replacement board on its way from China so if this fixes it I'll post something up for the other unfortunates.
