I would like to see that headline on a tabloid some day. Don’t care what the story is.

It would be a story where they were banned from playing by some local authority because their name encouraged stigma around mental health issues.

Having been forced to change their name to the more acceptable “Clinical Depression” lead singer Suggs commented

    “It’s madness gone politically correct”

I remember reading an interview with a journalist ages ago. Talking on the subject of headlines, he said they’d think of a good one and hope a story came up that would let them use it.

He said he lived in hope that Michael Foot would be put in charge of a defence think tank so he could have

A local free newspaper once ran a story on a new phone mast and some nimby local objectionism, so the headline ran:

    “New erection sparks mast debate”

    Utter genius!

Can’t remember the details or even if this is genuine, but I think it is (works best read out loud):

    “Rhubarb woman gets custody”
