Been out on the road bike a little bit more due to the rather inclement weather we have been having of late.
I normally wear a synthetic long sleeved base layer and an On ONe Merino zip up over the top , plus a neck buff.
This weekend suffered abit from a cold chest ( and toes but i can deal with that) . When i got home my skin had all gone cold , pink and clammy , then it seemed to take a few hours to get comfortable despite copious amounts of tea .

So , I need a Gilet . Do i go for a lightweight windroof and showerproof i can pack down and stuff into a pocket? Or a thicker ,warmer , waterproof soft shell like the Madison ?

They are available for £38 online so not a huge outlay , but want to make sure i am actually going to use it rather than have it collect dust .

I am not really a roadie , just ride for a bit of fresh air when everthing is saturated. Ta.
