After trying in vain to buy a better aerial than came with my stereo, I thought I’d look on tinternet.
I had all the bits, coax cable connecters etc, and it only flipping works.
I now get DAB even in the rain, and with other stuff switched on around it.
    How awesome am I?
    Very.
Also installed Napster on my squeezebox which is just a revelation.
    Getting my Christmas tunage ready.

Sorry, went for a run, yes, that’s the one.

Your radio needs a proper coax connecter to the aerial.
I found all the bits leftover from a satellite extension project.
Once it is made, don’t be put off by holding it up, it only works once it is stuck to the wall.
It does now work perfectly whereas I previously had no reception with the ‘T’ aerial supplied.
You haveto experiment with positioning a little as plug sockets effect it.

I got a dab aerial from toolstation which is superb. Cost me 13 quid iirc.

I just found the same guide from Google while looking for a new DAB aerial to buy. It really works brilliantly, I was just trying to improve the reception on the 16 or so stations we could receive and stop the under water bubbling interference that we get in anything other than perfect weather. 15 mins and a length of spare coax and 1 F connector and we now receive 33 stations in perfect clarity, and that is with the aerial hung behind a fridge as well.

If you are struggling for DAB reception give it a go. Only slightly miffed that it had already been posted on here.
