    The middle rings on the M960 cranks. Are they compatible with any other cranksets? Like XT Octalink ones? If not where's the best place to get a not expensive replacement?

    Nope, 102mm BCD not 104, just to be awkward!

    TA and Middleburn do replacements, neither are hugely cheap.

    I use the blackspire ones from crc on mine. Better shifting than middleburn IMO and comparable price.
