Traveling on the M62 from Huddersfield today and I hit a pothole/crater in the middlelane somewhere in the 50mph average speed limit on Saddleworth Moor area.
Now I’ve got damage to my steering/brake system and need to make a claim against the highway agency but I need to locate an accurate location for this crater.

I’m not familia with the area and don’t know exactly where it is was. Wondering if any locals who may travel that route have seen this hole. It’s that big that if you travel on that stretch of the motorway you will know it.

Beware though, you may not get any money. Depends if it was previously reported and how long ago, any actions taken, etc. Happened to a mate, trashed tyre, wheel, tracking, suspension and multiple airbags deployed. There was a line of similarly affected cars. None of them got a penny 🙁
