Doesn’t it depend on what type of terrain you’re negotiating? Regular large drop-off vs canal tow path?

Suspect it’s still breaking in (or was before I had to send it back under warranty) – so settings may well change + I suspect they’ll change anyways as the seasons change.

    Year: 2007
    Weight: 90kg’s
    Spring: Medium
    Rebound: 4 Clicks from off
    High Speed compression: 4 Clicks
    Low speed compression: 2 Clicks

These settings I use for most of my riding.

Mods: – I have the Floodgate mod,
The Boxxer mod (Replaces the internal wiper for sponge rings)
and I removed the U-Turn system which gives me non adjustable 170mm travel instead of 160.

The Boxxer mod makes a massive difference but you need to increase the service intervals.

    Spring: medium
    Rebound: the right amount
    High Speed compression: none
Low speed compression: quite a bit

Used to have a firm spring but it was too harsh in the Alps. Medium spring is a little soft for me hence the lots of LSCD to stop it diving on me.

As forks go its great but it REALLY needs an internal clean and oil change quite regularly (every few months for me) to stay at its sooper smmoove bestest. Luckily its a 30 minute job on RS forks.

To be honest I have no idea on the settings, I got them just right and left them. I have done the floodgate removal mod, I do think it makes a difference- mine are the old ones with less oil in.

    Quite a lot of rebound.

I do tend to muck about with the settings a lot to experiment, switching off HSC made the fork bottom out with a loud thunk on a rocky descent.

Have you seen the MiCo guide

    http://www.sram.com/_media/pdf/tuning_guides/missioncontrol_tuningguide_en.pdf

    +4HS
    +4LS
    1 turn floodgate
    +12 rebound

recommended starting point for 160-180lb riders (I’m prob 160 with a full camelback). Pretty close to my Lyrik Solo Air settings, though Ive also done the DH mod (ditched the floodgate).
