    They are often surprisingly tame, you can get them to eat out your hand with patience.

    Just as well it didn’t get angry and turn on you, either you or the robin would have ended up dead.

    Male Robins very feisty and territorial, I was down in West Wales driving down a lane when two of then were scrapping in the road. I had to wait about 30 seconds untill they broke apart and flew off.

    Pretty damned good from a phone, good thing you weren’t using the FaceTime camera, he’d have probably gone postal and attacked the phone.

    I once woke up in a bivvy bag in glen nevis, i opened my eyes to see two chaffinches looking down at me from my chest i lay there for about two minutes while they hopped about on my bivvy bag. I am accustomed to their cockyness but that was a big bit special!
