I need to lose about 5mm to be able to fit a 150mm dropper & was thinking a low profile saddle would help.
    Any suggestions?

Fizik tundra is about as flat as you are going to get in terms of mtb saddles i reckon.

Not a Fizik; they’re some of the tallest saddles going.

Probably a Selle SLR or a Pro Turnix. They’re about the lowest saddles I’ve used (out of loads of saddles)

    Shorter cranks?

    Specialised Henge is low profile.
I found a Fabric scoop low enough for my needs.

    SLR is low profile
RF Atlas similar but more mountain bikey
There’s a Nukeproof Race saddle as well which is thin with shallow rails but it’s not very comfortable

The SDG Circuit is low profile. It’s not exactly comfortable without padded shorts but ok with.

WTB Volt is ~7mm lower than the Spoon / VL1205 shape and imo a nice upgrade, similar but comfier.

I think my mid nineties Selle Italia flight is probably the lowest saddle ever made! Mega comfy and about 0.5mm from rails to bum…. 😉
