I’m just trying to boil some rice, and on full its barely bubbling. Normally it would boil a pan dry in minutes on full

The flame is also very yellow.

Is my gas company giving me dodgy gas? 😆

Not enough air – are the ports on the burner blocked?

Some areas suffer a rubbish mains pressure.
Did some work for a mini CHP firm some years ago, & some of the trial homes in rural areas were down at 14mbar. Should be at least 18 ideally.

Yellow flame means poor combustion and can produce carbon monoxide. Vent the room and don’t use the hob for long periods. Got a monoxide alarm?
