I have a rockshok solo air and am running it low around 90psi for my 82kg weight. After some jumps the red marker band is pushed to the top of the fork but the fork behaved fine. Got me wondering if I could be damaging the fork internally by topping out. What happens if your miles from anywhere and an air fork blows can you ride it and not damage the fork?

That’s bottoming out you mean, and it’s absolutely fine as long as your not battering hell out of it all time. Big bottom outs feel pretty unpleasant anyway, so it’s not something you’ll likely keep doing.

If you blow a seal miles from home you just have a very comfortable ride to contend with.

Pressure is quite low though, have you tried it a bit harder ? I am a bit lighter around 75kg and run mine at about 105
