Todmorden.Apart from a couple of weekends away I’ve not been more than 15 miles from home since I moved here road or off road.Riding from your front door takes some beating.

Also in Calderdale – pic is not from today but I have been out today and the trails are in cracking condition. The riding round here is amazing when it’s like this – so many great descents within about a mile of my door.

Rothiemurchus estate today at Aviemore, t shirt and shorts weather and i’m just back in from a full moon nightride to Loch Einich and back, not a breath of wind and around 3 degrees out. – I’m here all week on holiday – result! 😀

    Shhh… Don’t tell them about Scotland! 😉

Went out for the first road ride from the new house *near* Peebles. No traffic, and immense views of the Pentlands and Moorfoot hills, stunning beauty.

    Will post photos later.

    Some cracking pics.

I was supposed to be going to Aviemore biking this weekend with friends but I’ve not had a run off days of or a weekend off with the family for a few months now so cancelled to spend easter with them.

You can see my house from here! 😀

The Monday Night Pub Ride regulars at the top of the hill behind my house….

We were up there again last night. Its rubbish living round here. Having to go out and ride this stuff all the time, straight from your door is such a chore 😉

Here’s some of the, erm, great riding close to me….

Seriously considering selling the mtb as can’t really be arsed driving hours to ride anymore.

darrenspink : Yeah, it’s as scotroutes and rickon says – there’s now’t to see up here nor is it worth bringing a bike up.

Drac : Just for you, view 30 mins ago from the veranda of the mountain cafe – the coffee is still excellent and despite riding 30miles/day the cakes are destroying any hope i had of losing a few lbs.

No pics, however I downed tools and went riding on local trails.
Fantastic, everyone I passed was in fine fettle and gave a wave and cheer.

    Plenty of wildlife too.

    Buzzards,
    Pheasants,
    larks,
    swallows,
    lapwings.

    Nearly summer 🙂

Even the roadies have been cheery this week when I’ve given them a nod

    This evenings spin!

Also those decents on Calderdale look great. Was planning on doing a ride from Worsthorne to Tod, Hebden and round on Friday. Anyone care to share where any of that stuff is and if I can include it on my route!?

Bluebells at night – beautiful! Riding from my door down here in East Sussex is pretty good – just off the end of the South Downs, so plenty of elevation to play with by southern standards, and lots of open space too!
