OK, here’s one thats annoying me.
Ive got a C456 with Mavic Crosstrail wheels, all about 9 months old.
If I hold on the front brake and rock the bike backwards and forwards there is a very loud clicking noise. The same happens when I just hold on the back brake and rock the bike forward and backwards.

It sounds like it is coming from the hubs (15mm solid through front end and QR skewer back end). All greased up to the nines and drop outs tightened. Really weird, cant work out where its coming from, but do come from front and rear areas respectively.

    Any ideas?

    My check list would include,

Headset, stem, bars, fork, brake callipers, quick release. All nice and tight?

As above, headset would be first point of inspection, rotors, calipers.

hi, have you checked the little steel clip that holds the brake pads in? My mate had a similar noise on Sunday out on a ride and we feared the worst, but was just this clip had bent out and was catching the rotor.
