Went to a wedding yesterday and between changing in the spa dressing rooms and leaving bags with the concierge to be taken to our room we managed to lose the SO's SLR (350d) along with 3 lenses, about £1300's worth all in. Pretty sure it was left in the spa changing rooms and subsequently stolen – but from a respectable golf club hotel and spa this seems somehow unlikely, yet nothing has been handed in to the hotel.

Wondering if the insurance will cover it as accidental loss…? Reported it to the police in case we can claim and they're checking things CCTV at the hotel.

Gutted 🙁

I'm a paid up member of digital wedding forum and it looks like this kind of crime is becoming ever more common, sadly.

But really, what a great place to go thieving – loads of unattended bags / cameras knocking around and no-one questions you if you're wearing a suit and smiling…

Loads of US wedding togs have had gear pinched, from cars, churches and receptions. Seems weddings over here are getting targetted too 🙁
