This is a terrifying sign of either advancing age or just protracted meltdown from too much going on in life at one time.

I haven’t reached for my new helmet in weeks and now can’t find it anywhere, less still imagine where might have left it. Absolutely gutted as it had a handy light on the back and was comfy, lightweight and everything.

Do you write your name and phone number inside or something? I never fully realised what an unfailingly scatter-brained prat I can be until now.

Did you ever recover a lost helmet?

Mine has both my number and my emergency contact details in it. Have been able to recover it when I abandoned it in a lecture theatre. Also have had some goggles returned by some kind people who found them at Tavi Woodlands and I scrawled my number on the strap.

Clear glasses and multi tools are a different story…

Have you looked on your head?
