Can anyone recommend a wheel builder around the Bolton/Manchester area (pref who’s not too busy)? Moon on a stick?

Just picked up some new rims and need them fitting onto my existing hubs.

    Thanks.

Try Wallis Cycles, near Preston. It’s a proper bike shop and he seems to know his onions on wheel building.

Also there’s Paul Hewitt near Leyland but he’s more roadie.

Again, more roadie orientated, but they’ve built a few wheels for me in the past, and done a good job. A good bunch

Used Neil a few times, find him brilliant but he’s away until Thurs and I imagine he will be busy when he’s back in. Was hoping to get sorted for the weekend but I think I might be pushing it a bit.

Thanks for the other suggestions, will have a ring round.

I’d echo the comment about Rich at Keep Pedalling. Only heard good things.

Also Phil/Martin at Eddie mcGraths in Urmston.

I’d always go with Paul Hewitt around here. The road and MTB wheels he’s built for me are both solid.

He build wheels for Wiggins too if that makes a difference. Though obviously my recommendation is worth more! 😀

    +1 Paul Hewitt

He does mtb too but you may need to supply the hub/rim.
