nice, what bike's it goin on?
It's going on an Orange hardtail I picked up off the Bay, it's a Sub Zero prototype with ISCG 03 mounts and adjustable rear dropouts for adjusting the rear end by an inch or so (or for SS/Alfine useage ) Should be an interesting bike once it's complete!
The bit behind the BB in your pic - I guess thats the "gears". Is it all easy enough to assemble then?
Good price! Keep us posted on how it works and if the torque is too much for the Alfine to handle.
Looks nice, interested to see the full build. My only concern about HS is how long do those BBs last and how much do they cost to replace.

Looks easy enough to put together, the only faff is the facing of the BB/ISCG area, needs a specific SRAM tool to do (and only a few bike workshops in the UK have one, none in London! 
) The bit behind the BB (in the pic) isn't the 'gear' component, the planetary gears are integrated with the crank arm & bashguard.
My only concern about HS is how long do those BBs last and how much do they cost to replace.
The BB is based on the Truvativ Howitzer, hopefully it turns out to be reasonably long lasting... a new one is around £45 to replace, not too bad...

not yet... have to fit it to the bike still hopefully will be up and running next week, all going to plan (need to get the BB/ISCG mounts faced with the ginormous Hammerschmidt specific tool )

I went with thecyclesaint on Ebay, prices are very good! Worked out well for me (particularily as I had a friend bring it into the UK through LHR, so no customs/duty etc...

Yep, it'll fit fine thankfully! The frame is currently wearing the little 'checking tool' that comes with the kit, it fits perfectly, phew

fortunately not, I had a friend coming over from the States, she brought it over in her luggage for me, you hardly ever get tapped for import/VAT through LHR thankfully
in a similar vein to the bb facing thread - how is the facig of the icsg mounts supposed to be so crucial for this?
If the bb straight, and the gears are actually in the crank piece, isn't the inner plate a glorified bash guard? Or does the geared part also attach to it so that the planetary gears work?

The bashguard is integrated with the cranks. The part that mounts to the ISCG/BB is the mount for the cranks/gear assembly, apparently it's crucial that the ISCG mounts are perfectly parallel to the BB interface, hence the need to face the BB/ISCG together with the specific tool (I guess).
keep us posted.... I'd love to see that set-up for my Alfine hardtail, as i have the mounts on the frame and was looking to see if it worked.
Also let us know where you find the tool for the facing bit....
