  • Longer lasting simliar to Mounting King black chili?

I’ve been loving my Mountain King black chili 2.2s. They’ve been predictable, good traction and not draggy on the road sections. A million times better than my previous nevagal / blue groove combo.

The only down side is that the rear seems to have worn out really quickly. I’ve only had them on since January (and only a couple of rides a week)

Any options for something similar but slightly longer lasting? or is a new rear tyre every 6 months just something I need to accept for a great tyre?

i’ve had a set of the 2.4 versions for about 8-9 months and the back could do with changing really, but my mate has had the 2.2’s and he’s the same as you in that his has worn out in 6 months. They are great tyres though, they’re not perfect but they area good compromise, good all year round tyres though and really good for trail centres!
