We stumbled across this by chance, definitely worth a walk with your lads if they like that sort of thing…

Walk up Yr Eifl – you can ride up to the transmitter from Pistyll – the iron age hill fort is impressive

Visit Portmeirion, where ‘The Prisoner’ was filmed. Don’t forget to take a giant beach ball for the home movies.

2nd here for Greenwood forest park, brilliant little theme park with a ‘green’ theme.

Weather permitting, I’d just try to enjoy the beaches and the views. If you do go driving off, Anglesey is good for a day away. Stone Science place fantastic for geology, fossils and crystals, old fashioned in a good way.

    Visit this place: http://www.nantgwrtheyrn.org/

We walked down and explored the village when it was derelict, in between the granite quarries closing and the cultural entre opening. Lovely place.

Not a cheap visit by any means but if the weather is rough, Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog is great fun.

Is this for what people call a holiday?

We used to do those until Mrs Gti blew a fortune on a new kitchen. No holiday for two years now.

Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog is great fun for adults too. Totally exhausting!

I remember holidays too. Nice relaxing breaks. Now with two small kids they are more like some sort of sleep deprived endurance challenge.

Cycle down to Nantgwthern. The climb back up the road is a classic. While you are there look at the big wet crag to the left. Site of Moonlight Flit, the once only climbed ice climb. Proud member of the team here

Relax around Abseroch for the day and go for a bite to eat in Manana’s on the high street. Good food, good atmosphere and the dude who runs it is a fellow rider!
