I’ve just registered for online banking with Lloyds, any idea how there money manager works.
Does it automatically detect how much you spend and in what type of shops?

Yes and it says I spend too much in the off license and in bike shops!

It is automatic and clever, but you can also add your own categories for when it isn’t.

It’s a good gimmick, but after playing with it a bit I’ve not touched it in ages. I found the most awkward thing was if you use it with several accounts, transfers from one to another count as both income and outgoings, so it showed everything on my credit card twice, for example, once when I bought something and again when I paid the bill…
