Planning on doing an uplift day at Antur Stiniog then stopping in Llanberis and doing the Ranger path the next day. Anyone got any recommendations for accommodation there? Keen to stay in Llanberis for convenience of riding Snowdon and then getting back home with minimal faff/driving pre ride (our group specialize in faff).
Cheap and cheerful fine but obviously secure bike storage would be a bonus. What’s Llanberis like for pubs?

Llanberris from the last few times is like any small country town on a Saturday night out. FOR LOCALS.

The Heights Hotel used to be a good place run by climbers for climbers and it has bunk rooms. Dunno how good it is now though.

great guy, (I believe he’s on the mountain rescue team) short walk from a good pub (the Vaynol Arms)

The Vaynol’s a good pub. Usually full of the Mountain rescue lot.
The Heights is nice. Modern, clean, but a bit soulless these days.
Stop off at the Pen Y Gwyrd just up the pass – amazing place, great beer and a proper fire.

The chippy and the Galt Y Gwyn (Pizza place) are both excellent.
The Caban at Bryrefail does superb food but only open during the day.
Worth a walk.

Pete’s is variable – we don’t bother anymore.

If you fancy a challenge, Try the Bull in Deiniolen for a pint!

Excellent tips, cheers everyone! I’ve been asked to expand the search to campsites as well. Quite a few seem to have ‘noise bonds’ – not that we’re noisy but don’t want to be risking £20 a head just for coming back from the pub a bit merry like…
