Got lots of bits to build a old 7 speed campag equiped cross bike apart from gear levers.
Idealy I want to keep all the old but imaculate kit.
Apparently I could use 8 speed Ergos, but the other option is bar end levers in friction mode.

Anyone use them on a regular basis, the bike will be for 'rides' and light training not competition.

Unless you are pushing it you won't really worry. I use them. however if you want 8 speed Campg ergos mine could go. Badged Sach. Chorus or Record spec, very good cond.

Might take you up on that offer if the frame comes through.

GEt serious and go with down tube shifters – and I just happen to have a pair of 7 speed in the shed 🙂

So have I Sam, a whole hardly used Campagnolo Athena groupset with wheels that's not been used since 1993.
    Bit dodgy for cross anyway.

I might be after some 8 speed Ergos later this week if my frame comes through. How much would you be wanting.
