Where has this come from? It’s almost as pervasive as “oh my days” but more annoying as it’s pseudo-aggressive.

It’s one of the things my 12 year old says. I imagine it would sound pretty damn stupid coming out of an adult’s mouth.

Its not. The Slim Thug track was just what it was. But its the parody of the track that made it a turn of phrase. When people say it they’re referring to the parody rather than the original track

and no more stupid than the stupid things we used to say as kids: “George huh?” (you did didn’t you?) and “chinny reckon” etc etc etc etc
