    Im thinking of going…crest front and arch rear. Would everyone agree that the front is less likely to buckle?

    It depends how/where you ride and what you hit… I use crest 29’s front and rear and love them.

    Depends on your “everything” really. The weight penalty to go to an Arch isn’t massive, not much for peace of mind… But then I wouldn’t use a Crest on the front for a do-anything bike, it wouldn’t last.

    Yep rear tends to take more abuse- more likely to go places you didn’t mean it to, hang up on landings etc.

    Light Bicycle carbon rims? Go for the wider ones.
