I want one of those bags to put my bike in so I can take it on the train without all the usual fuss. Needs to pack up very small and be lightweight to go in the backpack for the rest of the ride.

any better (or cheaper) alternatives to this http://www.evanscycles.com/products/cinelli/lightweight-unpadded-bike-bag-ec005973

    Thanks,

Might be a little small to fit a train in a bike bag. 😉

I would recommend looking at the Ground Effect ‘Body Bag’. I use it for both in the car and flights and it seems really good to me.

Is a bag containing a bike going to escape the notice of the conductor?

I doubt it…and it’ll fill your rucsac to!

The Body Bag folds down to the size of an A4 yellow pages

it doesn’t have to go unnoticed – you can take a bike on the train if it is in a bag as it becomes normal luggage, just pop the wheels off.

Done it a few times with a friends home made version.

GE Bodybag looks good – out of stock though 🙁

does anyone have the Cinelli bag?

If that folds down pretty small it’ll probably do – but when I spoke to Evans they say its a full size bike bag that folds down ‘quite’ small 😕
