    Winter will soon be upon us and I am needing some good lights for commuting. I seem to need a new set every winter as all the road crud and water seems to kill my lights.

    Any recommendations for a good set? Nothing too heavy though.

    All of the front lights I have had have also been crap, something that gives out a bit more light would be good. Not too sure if I want a separate battery pack though.

    I find a fenix with the 'candle' attachment fitted and cut down to form a 'glow-ring' pretty good. Bright, runs on AAs, can be seen from the side, small, light, easy to mount with a lockblock. I'm sure there will be something on DX that'll do the job for less money. Make sure you get something that can be seen from the side though.

    Actually I've just noticed there are some in the classifieds, bit steep but you can come to an arrangement I'm sure.
