  • Light springs for a Tora 302?

I’ve got a Tora 302 fork and I never get the full travel, in fact I rarely get more then 85mm of the 135mm it’s set to. I suspect this is because I’m a 9.5 stone whippet!

Can you get lighter springs for this fork? and if so where from?

Yes you do sound light for the medium spring – I’m (ahem) nearly 12 stones and find it fine, getting about 15% sag.

I’ve never got 130mm of travel at the full-out setting, more like 115mm travel. I actually reckon the fork works best wound down about 4 twists from the maximum.

OK, so it’s a 130mm fork that still means I’m missing 45mm of possible travel.

Thanks for the TF link, £40 for a spring!? That seems a bit steep, is there any alternative? All I want it to get a bit more of the travel.

Perhaps it’ll be cheaper to eat lots of pies and Haribo until I get to 12 stone……

Think this is a trademark problem on the 302’s. I had the exact same problema dn ended up swapping for a set of Talas RLC’s. Have you done the sag test, and if so what were teh results of this?
