    Anyone recommend anything?

Selle Italia SLR looks light, but not sure if it’ll cope with me crashing – anybody using something good?

SLR’s are pretty strong. Just glue the leather back on after you crash.

Do they make a distinction between their Road & MTB saddles?

Depends on your idea of light, but I’ve spent the last year riding on an SDG CroMo railed Duster at 230g

I’ve used SLR 135 and 165’s and both have coped with crashes that have ripped the leather off. As I say, just glue it back on.

SDG Ti-Fly with Titanium rails, mine’s 185g. Firm but a great shape.

Had one of those years back, ripped the leather, it ended up with a sharp edge that destroyed my thigh. That said, before I tore it, I think I remember it was decent.
