    I have two bikes with Thomson posts (and like them very much) but i'm building up a cheap XC build at the moment, anyone got any recomendations?? 27.2 diameter and at least 330mm length.

    i waited til i got a 2nd hand thomson off ebay for my pomp – picked up a mint condition silver inline for £35 posted in the end, bargain. do that!

    Go for the FSA carbon. Rude not too at that price. I'm toying with the stem and bars too, so that everything matches. Must….. resist…..

    good man PJ. don't bother with watching, though, get sniping – pick the max you reckon you'd pay, and just put it in and cross your fingers. i missed the first two i tried, but they went for a price at which i'd have just paid a bit more and got a new one. third time lucky. 🙂

    I'm very impressed with my On-One Twelfty. Lighter and cheaper then Thomson. Got a Thomson stem though and it is lovely kit.

    i liked my twelfty til it broke after a fairly insignificant impact. i like the thomson that replaced it a lot more. 🙂

    The CRC brand X one is allright. If they still do it.
